  • Girls Empowerment Retreat 2026 - 06/08/2026 to 06/12/2026 - Join NDC for their 3rd annual Girls Empowerment Retreat. The Girls Empowerment Retreat is a transformative experience designed to inspire and uplift young girls, ages 6-13, fostering confidence and self-discovery. Through a series of empowering workshops, interactive activities, and mentorship sessions, participants develop leadership skills, cultivate strong self-esteem, and build meaningful connections with their peers!   • Juneteenth Celebration - 06/20/2026 - New Directions Center is excited to set up a table at the 10th annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20th from 11 AM - 6 PM at Montgomery Hill Park in Staunton. Enjoy food vendors, music, museum exhibits and other events. Bring your lawn chair and get ready for a great time to connect! 

  • Professional Drop-In Workshop - 06/24/2026 - New Directions Center is partnering with the Shenandoah LGBTQ+ Center to host a professional drop-in workshop on Wednesday, June 24th from 4 to 7 PM at 13 West Beverley St in Staunton on the 5th floor. It will be an evening to feel empowered and to reinvent yourself through resume support, mock interviews, gender affirming haircuts and clothes, headshots, and more! Share the word!

July

  • Family Fun Day  - 07/11/2026 - The Amato Clinic is hosting its Family Fun Day event on Saturday, July 11th from 9 AM - 12 PM at the Gypsy Hill Park Bandstand. This event is a fun way to bring together community and to support New Directions Center. There will be an inflatable slide, local craft and business vendors, Sweet Baby Cheesus food truck, and free spinal screenings! Bring the whole family out for a morning you won't want to miss!

  • Fishersville Library Pop-Up - 07/14/2026 - Visit the Fishersville Library station at 1759 Jefferson Highway on Tuesday, July 14th from 1 PM - 4 PM to learn more about New Directions Center. This is your chance for 1:1 conversations with an NDC staff member.  

  • Block Party at Ciders from Mars - 07/18/2026 - SAVE THE DATE! New Directions is heading out to Ciders from Mars on Saturday, July 18th from 1-6 PM for an event you do not want to miss! We will have North Mountain BBQ, Nolia’s Lemonade, Cornhole and games, music, raffles, and more! There is a suggested $10 donation for entry, which can get you 5 raffle tickets to put toward prizes of your choosing! Mark your calendars today.

  • Save the Date: Draw Down Fundraising Event - 08/29/2026 - Cocktails, dinner, and money and prize winnings!! $100 for two (2) tickets.
