SIGN-UP FOR TRAINING
Before you begin volunteering, you must complete a Volunteer Application form.
New Directions Center, Inc. believes that only a coordinated community effort will bring about the social change needed to end domestic and sexual violence. Volunteers represent a substantial part of our agency and are a key piece of our community efforts to reduce the impact and occurrence of violence. We offer a Volunteer training seminar on the topics of domestic violence, sexual assault, crisis intervention, safety planning and more so that by the end our volunteers will feel well equipped to help survivors of violence. Upon completion of the training, shadowing and assessment, volunteers will become a Level II status. Contact us if interested in Level II volunteering.
For those who do not want to become a Level II volunteer, we have other opportunities such as helping with planning and executing events, cleaning our shelter, organizing donations, administrative duties, etc. If this sounds more up your alley, please contact us.
There are two levels of volunteering, Level I or Level II. In order to be Level II you must complete the Volunteer Training.
